Kasiva ViChasima Tova - B'sheim Kol Yisrael

We wish everyone a meaningful Yom Kippur

We also kindly request that everyone keep all Jews in mind during Yom Kippur
No prayer is as powerful as a prayer for and with all of Israel

Although Yom Kippur is a solemn and serious day, no one should enter into depression
Here is some light humor to take the edge off a little...

Kiss The Moose!

As per minhag on Project Recharge,
it was time for the annual Naming Ceremony
for the Rookie Class of 2011.

In order to be inducted as a member of Project Recharge, one needed to kiss the hanging moose on the wall. Once completed, a new name would be given and the former self forgotten!

Avi Popack – Sherwood “Woody” Stock

Yoey Turkel – Tucker

P.S. We would also like to welcome back Gertrude "Trudy" Greenberg, Timmy Tom Jr. III, and The Experience (aka "Chavaya"), key members from PR 1.0

Day 1 (cont.)

Off to the supermarket to pick up food for the trip.
The suspense was a killer – which supermarket would we go to?
And the winner is…

The Manager of Safeway kindly welcomed back Project Recharge and thanked them for supporting the West Coast branches 2 years back.

It was now off to the house...

Everyone got settled – choosing rooms and unloading Schroder.
Dinner was setup and it was bound to be an Epic Spectacular.

In one of the more beautiful moments in PR history, a moment that will live in PR lore for years to come, Jeremy Hertzberg made a siyum on Meseches Pesachim.
 As Buns and Mutty noted,
“by looking at his Gemara and the margins within, one can tell how well he knows it.”

Til Next Time...

GOOD SHABBOS, GOOD SHABBOS

Day 1

After a beautiful evening spent in Highland Park for Precharge
the chevra got up early to begin the last day of the rest of their lives.

There were four cars that left from MK Dani Kaye’s house.

Ackerman – Adam, Keith, and Yoey
 Kirsch – Dani and Popack
 Popowitz – Knoll and Hertzberg
Dave Schwartz – Mutty and Brooks

We arrived in Culpeper, VA and saw our dear friend...
(Seems to have had a rough year)

As per minhag we officially opened PR 3.0 with Softball!

The teams were set (Team Dan vs. Team Buns) and the stage was ripe for an EPIC showdown.
Team Dan jumped out to an early 7-1 lead
behind some stellar hitting from a well balanced lineup and shotty fielding by Team Buns.

But then the tide shifted…Michael Kirschenbaum made a catch!

Then Tzachi cracked a 3 run BOMB to left-center. The game went on and headed into the final inning 9-8 in favor of Team Dan. With 1 run already across (10-8) Tzachi Popowitz, continuing his stellar play, made 2 beautiful outfield assists saving his team from any more damage.

Bottom of the 9th, 10-9, 2 runners on, and Keith/Shmuel steped to the plate…Whoomp! Walk off single and Team Buns capped a remarkable comeback victory. The team shook hands and pleasentries were exchanged. Tzachi Popowitz was awarded the MVP.

Ed Note: More Pictures and Videos to Come.
